The best horseback riding in Puerto Vallarta

The natural scenery and weather is perfect for horseback riding. The beach and mountains are awesome for all kinds of riders. Riding through the semi tropical jungle is awesome because of the shade created by the trees and cool rivers help cool off as well. The weather is perfect specially during early morning or late afternoon. During the rainy season it rains late afternoon so riding during the day is fine. Riding through the rain is an awesome experience as well.

Every year at the end of February we have a huge Vegas style Mexican rodeo called ¨Charreada¨. Kind of what you see in the movies, with huge mariachi and all the fancy embroidery you can think of. The girls ride side saddle with both legs on on side. They use the huge dresses with the huge sombrero like the ¨Mariachis¨, use.

36 teams from all over Mexico and California, Montana, Texas, Wyoming and other U.S.A. states., compete in a three day tournament.

Many local trail rides are available during the year as well. Including a three day pilgrimage to the small mining towns up the mountain like Talpa, San Sebastian and Mascota.
